We have now come to the end of Our ‘Shop for Schools’ promotion. Thanks to all of you who got behind your school in the last few days and we have awarded the bonus 150 points to Sholing for the support they received right up to the last minute. The competition was fierce right until the end with a flurry of Facebook support from parents, friends and teachers over the last few days, but even the 150 bonus points awarded to Sholing were not quite enough to see them regain 1st place from Glenfield Infant School who charged to the finish line in top spot. We are delighted to announce that the winners are as follows: 1st place winners - Glenfield Infant School who win £500 for their School 2nd place winners – Sholing Junior School who win £150 for their School 3rd place winners – Bitterne Park Junior School who win £100 for their School Congratulations to the winners and many thanks to all the schools who took part.

The Marlands is once again sponsoring the fantastic Daily Echo Child of the Year promotion for the 19th consecutive year. Southampton’s family-friendly shopping centre is now looking forward to welcoming hundreds of parents to the Centre again, each hoping that the photo portrait of their child will scoop the award and be crowned the Daily Echo’s Child of the Year. The photographer will be here from 9.30am – 4.30 pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 4.30pm on Sunday starting on Wednesday 12th June until Wednesday 26th June. The competition is open to babies and children from new-born to 5 years. Parents wishing to enter their child need to cut out the FREE sitting coupon from The Daily Echo. After much deliberation we have reached a decision on the name for our lovely female Rhino! Thanks you to everyone who suggested a name it was a very difficult choice.
