AEJ Management provides facilities management services to Retail, Shopping, Trade, Leisure and Business Parks throughout the United Kingdom.

We are looking for a Cleaning Manager to manage the cleaning services in a Southampton Shopping Mall. This is a hands on role and as part of the cleaning team you will manage the work force as well as have day to day contact with the client.

If you have a supervisor/manager background and have experience in delivering excellent customer service, you could be our ideal candidate. A knowledge and understanding of Key Performance Indicators would be an advantage.

Job Title: Cleaning Manager

Based at: Southampton

Reports to: Area Contracts Manager

Purpose of the role

Manage the Cleaners to ensure the standards of service maintained is in accordance with the contract's service level agreement. Develop close working relationship with the Client to ensure delivery of excellent service.

Key Tasks

1. Be responsible for ensuring that the day to day operations of the cleaning service runs smoothly and the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are exceeded by way of focussed and planned continuous improvement

2. Operate and comply with company standards and ensure all AEJ employees comply with company standards

3. Ensure staffing levels are maintained at optimum levels at all times;

4. Continually review the KPI's to ensure the cleaners are maintaining the standards required.

5. Work closely with the client to ensure any issues are resolved effectively

6. Ensure that Health & Safety awareness forms an integral part of your team's duties

7. Working as part of the team ensure that the daily cleaning schedule is adhered to

8. Monitor the employees' performance and complete performance reviews at the direction of the Area Contracts Manager

9. Comply with all company policies and procedures

10. Ensure all complaints are handled in accordance with company procedure

11. If required discipline employees up to a verbal warning

12. Be responsible for developing own skills and attend training courses as directed
